Who we are

Cheshunt Build is a trading name of Casalydor Ltd, a design and build contractor based in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can reach us about anything on this page at hello@cheshunt.build.

What we collect and why

We only collect what we need to respond to you and prepare your quotation:

• Quote requests: your name, email address, phone number, postcode and project details. We use these to prepare your itemised estimate, email it to you, and follow up about your project.
• Callback and contact forms: your name, phone number and message, used to get back to you.
• Live chat: your name, email address and the messages you send, so we can reply and pick the conversation back up if you leave the page.
• Extension potential checker: the postcode and address you enter are used to look up public records about the property (its recorded outline, energy certificate band and local planning statistics). We do not store these lookups.

Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services. We do not sell personal data, we do not send marketing you have not asked for, and we do not use advertising cookies.

Who processes it for us

Like most websites we rely on a small number of service providers, acting under our instructions:

• Vercel hosts the website and processes requests you make to it.
• Resend delivers our emails (your quote and our copy of it).
• Upstash stores live chat conversations so we can reply to you.
• Google supplies the street photograph shown in the extension checker when imagery exists for an address.
• An AI service assists in assembling the itemised cost breakdown for your quotation from the project details you provide.

Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are covered by standard contractual safeguards.

How long we keep it

Quote and enquiry emails are kept in our mailbox while your enquiry or project is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can honour our quotations and our 12 month guarantee. Chat conversations are kept so we can continue the discussion, and removed on request. If you want anything deleted sooner, one email to hello@cheshunt.build does it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and object to or restrict how we use it. Email hello@cheshunt.build and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use only what is needed for the site to function, such as remembering an open chat conversation on your device.
